This week we did photo compositing.

We got an image of a beach and had to transform it changing the colouring etc.

Craig showed us his transformation and we had to go through the same steps.

-adding shadows to rocks

-adding more rocks

- changing the temperature of the picture

-adding a moon, fire and smoke

I enjoyed doing photo compositing as its cool to see the before and after of the transformation and what a difference it makes.

This week we used Wacom boards. We all choose a photo and drew over them with the pen creating shadows and layering colours.

Then we were tasked to add something that wasn't in the picture, so I got a photo of a rose and place it at the bottom of the stairs, I traced over it then copied it and rotated it to a different angle.

I also added leaves hanging on the bannister, but then photoshop stopped responding and closed down so I had to restart both the stairs and flowers, that's why there isn't much colour in the image.

I had to isolate both of these weeks so I had to watch the online videos in order to see what was done these weeks. Luckily the videos were very informative and explained each step thoroughly.

The week 2 video explained how to do a digital collage, I really like how unique a collage can become by using photoshop and i hope to use this for future work.

The week 3 video showed me how to digitally render a sketch. My classmates brought in sketches and learnt how to clean them up and colour application.

I think I would have understood how to do this more if I was able to go into lesson as it seemed quite difficult.

Next I need to practice what I learnt in these videos when I have the opportunity to.
