Visual research

I conducted visual research of what i thought the house from the script looks like.

From the script i could tell it is a 1960's detached house that was neglected by the brother who has now passed away. Some appliances would have been updated but the general fixtures in the house were probably aged.

I choose this house as it look solemn and empty and the brother was living by himself for all those years. All the appliances I choose are the general types used at the time in the 1960's but I made sure they had a worn out look to them, I kept to neutral but general colours used at the time.

- exploring perspective further

In this lesson we were tasked to do a perspective drawing of the sets we designed the first week mine being the 1930's kitchen.

At the start of the lesson I struggled remembering the steps I went through to do the drawing and I noticed that my drawing looked off.

After asking Andrew and being retold the steps I started again on a new paper. I had to make sure to remember to measure across when figuring out heights then up for depth.

- perspective drawing

At the start of the lesson we were told to do a perspective drawing of a plan at 1:50, which is something I have never done before. I'm quite happy with how mine came out since we weren't given any instructions.

After we were told the correct way to do the perspective drawing and I'm happy with my final result.

Comparing it to my drawing at the start of the lesson you can see there is a big difference.

In my second drawing you can see how the drawing measurements are more accurate and the angle is better since I considered the eye level.
